I love Ambrose Bierce’s cynicism and wit. Though late 19th and early 20th century I find his writing still holds true today.
The Devil’s Dictionary is probably his best known work and the easiest to appreciate.
Some of his language is a little rough and seems racist by modern standards but don’t let that stop you from reading. You won’t regret it.
