The Return of Rickets and Weak Bones in Kids

I don’t find it hard to believe that rickets and other calcium and vitamin D deficiency diseases are making a comeback.

I’ve seen many cheerful kids with come into my store with broken arms gained from such things as tripping and falling on the carpet. Its not the kind of hangdog look you see on abused kids but happy families. And its common.

Its really sad to see all the kids get seriously hurt by injuries that J.W. and I would have shrugged off.
O.K. we were tough country kids but that isn’t an excuse for bad nutrition or breaking an arm falling on carpet.

Its not just a bad neighborhood thing. The kids I’ve seen are middle class and up. Plainly its a bad parent thing.

Folks my advice is that if you are lucky enough to have kids read up and talk to your doctor about nutrition for the kids sake.

Feed them well and make sure they get the nutrition they need. Not only will this save you money in the long run its the right thing to do.
