Four Policy Reasons Why the Republicans are Hurting
My personal gut hunch is that people like the Republican party and actually dislike the Democrat party but thing have gotten so out of whack that people have decided to vote out the Republicans for the next few years . In my opinion there are four main reasons why
Reason #1
The people are starting to figure out that under 20+ years of Republican rule the rich got richer and everyone else got shafted.
Reason #2
Katrina. Having a government that seems to be both inept and malevolent is scary.
Reason #3
The War. We have way too much else to do with our money than throw it away in the Gulf. There are things like education, infrastructure, retirements, and health care that all need funding. With the War Without an End sucking up every dime and driving us into bankruptcy we can’t do that. The Democrats might (operative word) might put an end to the thing in a year or so. The Republicans never will. Ergo, People vote Democrat.
Reason #4
It might surprise some right wingers but people do not want to fear being disappeared in the night and Gitmo’d. People are staring to fear the surveillance, national security, jail state and want some change.
