Why Biden as V.P Means Obama Probably Lost my Vote
Obama may see Biden as a Ford Taurus candidates and I suspect the electorate will as well. However I don’t plain like Biden and because of that I will likely not vote for Obama this year.
As a Kos Libertarian (a small government liberal more or less) I can’t vote for anyone whose running mate is a career politician, hard core drug warrior, and has numerable other bad positionsespecially on the filthy so called Patriot Act . F from the N.R.A. ? a mere 60% from the A.C.L.U. These facts don’t bode well . with the Presidential nominee a veritable cypher well thats not a good combination in my book.
Since McCain is a no go and Ron Paul is out of the race I am I’m probably going to vote for Barr this year. I am not really sure about his recent conversion to Libertarianism ( he was a rather Authoritarian Republican) but I am willing to him a chance. This is simply because frankly I’d feel better protected from my own government with Barr and a Democratic Congress than with any of the other choices this year.

Can’t say I blame you for that sentiment “Ross” but two things –
1st I am in a very Blue State, California to precise — that will almost certainly elect Obama.
2nd — — Biden has a lousy record on civil liberties — selecting him tells me that Obama is looking to be an authoritarian left candidate — and thats no show I am interested in.
my picks, Bill Richardson and Mike Gravel were eliminated early alas so that leaves me out.
