Republicans and Principles
Posted w/o much comment or endorsement from me.
Someone once described the principles of the Republican party as-
#1 limited government,
#2 thrift, fiscal discipline
#3 low taxes,
#4 a strong defense,
#5 impartial justice,
#6 free markets
#7 most importantly that a citizen is an adult, fully capable of deciding what is best for himself.
Has the Republican party ever lived up to any of these ideals?
Lets See
#1 Patriot Act — No.
#2 Huge Federal Debt –No.
#3 for what benefits the government provides vis a vis what we pay in. — No.
#4 as my cousin puts it, we can’t defeat a broken third work country (Iraq) or a 4th workld one (Afghanistan) without leaving our army broken. — No.
#5 No.
#6 Fannie and Freddie Bailout and more. —- No….
#7 War on Drugs and War on Porn —- No.
What are these Republican principles again?
Oh right. There aren’t any other than get elected at any cost, pay off the big campaign contributers, help the rich, make America less safe and less free.
