Regarding Certain Stupidities and Injustices Perpetrated on Teens
A person who mails pictures of herself is not a “child pornographer” nor is a peer who receives them regardless of what a Florida court says.
These injustice are part and parcel of the delusion that “sex is bad” that seems to infect our country.
what the idiots who write and enforce these laws seem to forget is these laws are are meant to protect youth from exploitation by people with gross age or power disparity — not to prevent teens from being teens or kids from playing house — wack jobs — which the US has in abundance don’t seem to get this basic fact.
The conviction hungry persecutors that take these cases seem to have little concern about ruining someones life and I see it they need to be reeled in.
If/When we get an honest liberal we need federal civil rights legislation to put a stop to this and other egregious abuses of sex offender laws.
You know so we can make Think of the Children actually mean what it says instead of being a code word for censorship or draconian punishment for some petty indecency.
